  3.          ANOTHER PARADISE, LOST        RGAaPoet@aol.com

  5.     Our crime cursed land was meant to be
  6.     A paradise on earth,
  7.     Where bells would ring, incessantly,
  8.     Of love, and peace, and mirth.
  9.  
  10.     Some finer men, like Angels, came
  11.     To set a set of rules,
  12.     Called "Constitution"....  How that name
  13.     Became a bane for fools.
  14.  
  15.     These fools assume those finer men
  16.     Had hidden meanings where
  17.     The ageless wisdom of their pen
  18.     Just dazzled, being so clear....
  19.  
  20.     So clear and simple, their design,
  21.     These fools cannot relate --
  22.     They misinterpret every line,
  23.     And foul up every state!
  24.  
  25.     Maybe that paradise is lost.
  26.     The few just search in vain.
  27.     Regardless of the bitter cost,
  28.     Eden won't bloom again!
  29.  
  30.     There was that Eden, once -- you know,
  31.     That earthly paradise --
  32.     Where Satan came, and dimmed the glow,
  33.     And clouded up men's eyes.
